Jen Seabury hasn’t always been a river guide. After graduating from college she worked as an editor for New York Magazine for 13 years. Jen followed that with an eight year stint at the Nantahala Outdoor Center where she taught kayaking. She now works on ski patrol in Park City when it’s too cold to be running rivers. Summer finds her guiding on the Colorado River through the Grand Canyon and on the Middle Fork of the Salmon River in Idaho. She’s boated all over the United States as well as in Nepal and Costa Rica, but still claims that “the beauty and excitement of the Grand Canyon surpasses all other rivers”.
