Rob Noonan

Rob is a year-round full time guide who follows the seasons back and forth across the equator. The 2009 Grand Canyon Rio season will be his 20th! Rob has been with Canyon Explorations since 1993 and loves the incredibly talented co-workers and fun passengers from his 100 plus trips down the Colorado River. Row, paddle, hike, eat, play then sleep till we do it all again, constitutes another perfect day on the Rio. The Grand Canyon is his favorite place on earth and he hopes to share great experiences with fellow crew and passengers for years to come. Rob is an avid birder and general naturalist. Rob has worked on many multiple year research projects in the Grand Canyon on topics ranging from Mallard Ducks and Bighorn Sheep to the River Trip Simulator Project. Rob also guides in the European Alps of Austria, France, Germany, Italy and Switzerland. During the Grand Canyon off season Rob migrates to the Southern Hemisphere, mainly leading trips in the Patagonia region of Southern Argentina and Chile.
